Bringing a puppy into your home is a big decision! Here at Howdy Doodles, we believe the foundation for a loving puppy/owner relationship is proper training and socialization. We make sure your puppies are healthy, socialized from the time they are born, and that they will have wonderful temperaments. We accomplish this by using the Puppy Culture Program. The Enrichment begins when they are 4 days old. We believe this program is based on the most current science and behavioral analysis, and we love the focus on proper acclimation.

HAT IS PUPPY CULTURE?

This is a training program developed by leading breeders, veterinarians, and animal behaviorists. It is utilized by leading the new puppies through a series of exercises to promote healthy behavior. The primary benefit to new owners is that it reduces unwanted actions like biting and jumping.

HAT IS INVOLVED?

At Texas Howdy Doodles we start early training our new puppies using the Puppy Culture program created from a team of leading breeders, veterinarians, and behaviorists. By utilizing the most current research and training methods, this program cultivates happy, healthy, and stable puppies who are sociable and stable. Puppies who go through the training program are better equipped for life in a busy, bustling world, and to thrive in their forever families. Some of the (many) things we cover with your puppy during this training period are:

  • Early stimulation for the neurological system

  • Emotional resiliency

  • Safe socialization at an early age

  • Set up for weaning

  • Anti-agression and safety techniques

  • Skills such as leash walking

  • Crate and potty training

  • Decreasing behaviors like biting and jumping

E HAVE A PUPPY TRAINER TOO!

We have a puppy trainer who comes weekly, starting at 4 weeks.  By 6 weeks she is coming daily and works on a multitude of things like crate training, leash training, sitting and anything specific to a puppy we feel they need extra attention on.  She also conducts our aptitude/temperament test on all puppies, right before they turn 7 week.
